Dr. Kathryn Hallsten is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing medicine in the Bay Area for more than 15 years. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with a BA in psychology with honors and distinction. She earned her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco Medical School, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Hallsten completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, a teaching hospital affiliated with the Stanford University School of Medicine. She has been on the clinical faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine.
In September 2000, Dr. Hallsten started the Menlo Health and Wellness Program at the Menlo Medical Clinic as part of Stanford Health Services, modeled after an independent program started by Dr. Scott Wood. In 2003, she moved her practice to join her partners at the current Interactive Wellness location.
Dr. Hallsten is married to Craig Ritchey, an attorney. They live in Palo Alto with her two sons, Alex Medearis and Stevie Medearis. In addition to her medical practice, she enjoys running, biking, snow skiing and golf.
